Condit Spirit Awards
Founded in 1976 by Jess Grundy, a long-time supporter of the hospital, the Condit Spirit Awards is named after former Long Beach Mayor Fillmore Condit whose charitable gift in 1924 helped make Community Hospital of Long Beach a reality.
Presented by the Community Hospital of Long Beach Foundation, the Condit Spirit Awards recognizes significant charitable gift support and volunteer service made by individuals, Condit Club members, corporations, and community-based organizations to Community Hospital of Long Beach.
Proceeds from the Condit Spirit Awards benefit the Community Dreams Fund: Focusing on Today, Planning for Tomorrow, which ensures that our hospital continues to provide quality healthcare by optimizing the latest medical technologies, and providing the services and programs for the diverse needs of our community.
